Construction of Four Residential Buildings Has Begun in New Hanza Neighbourhood
Continuing the development of a modern and sustainable urban environment in Riga, in October the company New Hanza Development began construction of New Hanza Apartments, located at 10 Gustava Kluča Street.
The four buildings, which are being constructed simultaneously, will include 258 apartments, six retail and commercial units, and 185 parking spaces. In addition, the adjacent Hanzas Park will be created, and the construction of the neighbourhood’s streets and utility infrastructure will be completed.
New Hanza Apartments will consist of four energy-efficient class A buildings, offering fully finished modern apartments. The range includes two- to five-room apartments suitable for both young families and active city dwellers who appreciate comfort and a high quality of life.
The apartments will be equipped with a smart home system that will allow residents to remotely control heating, ventilation, underfloor heating, electricity, security and fire alarm systems, and the intercom. Each apartment will feature a high-quality air recuperation system, and air conditioning units may be installed in living rooms and bedrooms. The interiors will feature premium finishes: wooden/aluminium windows, parquet flooring, and veneered wooden doors with full-height panelling.
Apartment owners will have access to an underground car park and bicycle storage facilities. Right next to the apartments will be a park called Hanzas dārzs – the green heart of New Hanza, offering a natural retreat in the city centre.
The buildings will be situated on a street named after the artist Gustavs Klucis, in the New Hanza neighbourhood – one of the most promising districts in central Riga, distinguished by its contemporary architecture, extensive green spaces, and well-developed infrastructure. For residents’ convenience, landscaped courtyards, children’s playgrounds, and green areas with illuminated pedestrian walkways will be created. Nearby are public transport stops, schools, kindergartens, as well as shopping and leisure facilities.
The project is scheduled for completion in autumn 2027. Apartments in buildings A and D are already available for reservation, while prices for apartments in buildings B and C will be announced in the second quarter of 2026.
