Opening of Vītola klīnika – Gynaecology and Surgery Centre in the New Hanza Med Healthcare Complex
On 31 July, Vītola klīnika medical clinic was officially opened at 1 M. Tāla Street, becoming the first of several medical institutions to begin operations within the New Hanza Med healthcare centre. This marks a significant step in the development of private healthcare in Latvia, creating a modern, patient-centred medical environment.
Vītola klīnika represents a strategic and previously unseen private investment in comprehensive women’s healthcare in Latvia. Formerly known as JV klīnika, it specialises in women's health – offering everything from outpatient gynaecological services to surgery and rehabilitation – all in one place, allowing each patient to receive the most appropriate and personalised care. The clinic is equipped with modern consultation rooms, a 24-hour inpatient facility, and state-of-the-art operating theatres, ensuring complete care under one roof.
Vītola klīnika will offer contemporary healthcare solutions for women of all ages. Services will include preventive screening, pregnancy care, infertility treatment, menopause management, and complex gynaecological surgeries, such as treatment for endometriosis, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, prolapse, and other conditions.
The establishment of Vītola klīnika within the New Hanza Med centre has been financed by New Hanza Med AS, a subsidiary of AmberStone Group, SIA, which also holds a 49% stake in Vītola klīnika. New Hanza Med AS has already invested over EUR 2.3 million in the reconstruction of the centre’s premises, in addition to providing further development funding for medical service providers to acquire medical equipment.
Over the next two years, New Hanza Med plans to invest a further EUR 1.5 million in reconstructing the remaining floors, purchasing additional medical equipment, and attracting new medical service providers.
