Autumn Events at Cultural Venue Hanzas Perons

Autumn promises to be especially exciting at cultural venue Hanzas Perons, so we invite you to explore the offered programme and choose the event that interests you.

On 9 September, a witty Icelandic singer and Eurovision sensation Daði Freyr will perform at Hanzas Perons. He gained fame with the superhit "Think About Things," which captured the hearts of the world in the 2020 Eurovision contest cancelled due to the pandemic. Since then, the song has been streamed over 200 million times, has sold-out tours, and it's clear that this is just the beginning.

On 24 September, American singer and avant-garde pop artist Zola Jesus will perform at Hanzas Perons. Her performances blend classical opera singing with noisy, dark, and melodramatic pop music.

On 1 October, Hanzas Perons will be particularly welcoming to families with children as the Latvian Puppet Theatre will celebrate its 40th anniversary on stage with two shows featuring the legendary production of "And Pifs Again...". It is the longest-running play in the history of Latvian theatre, enjoyed by generations of children. In honour of this event, the theatre has prepared a special surprise for visitors - creative workshops and activities for young viewers to prepare for the grand celebration together with the theatre actors and craftsmen.

On 14 October, during the Riga International Film Festival, Hanzas Perons will host a special musical adventure. The artist, musician, and film music composer Alex Zhang Hungtai from Canada will perform a concert in the capital. And during the night, the musicians from the Bristol duo 'Giant Swan' will take care of the dance beats, stepping into the roles of DJs.

On 27 October, Hanzas Perons will be graced with the presence of German electronic music heavyweights "Moderat." Last year, this fantastic group reinvented themselves, released a new album, and returned to the electronic music Olympus after a 6-year hiatus.

On 10 November, Hanzas Perons will offer the program 'The Call Within,' featuring Armenian pianist and composer Tigran Hamasyan and his trio. Tigran Hamasyan is one of the most notable and unique musicians of his generation, equally comfortable at the intersection of jazz, contemporary, folk, and rock music.

More information about the events and ticket purchasing options can be found on the Hanzas Perons website.
